Q1. What does SplashDerma treatment involve?
A non-surgical treatment, our advanced dermal filler is injected into selected facial muscles by a doctor or specialist registered nurses using a very fine needle. The treatment takes around 10 minutes. Discomfort is typically minimal, the injection may sting for a few seconds. No anaesthetic is usually required. It takes two to three days for the treatment to begin taking affect and about 7 days to see the full effect. Our registered nurses can explain in detail what to expect.
Q2. How long will the effect last?
The effect can last for up to 4 months before lines slowly begin to return. Repeat treatments mean the look tends to last longer.
Q3. Do Dermal Fillers cause more wrinkles to form?
SplashDerma relaxes the facial muscles which cause expression lines. They do not cause more wrinkles, even after the effects have passed. If you do not have further treatments your muscles will eventually return to normal levels of activity and your wrinkles will gradually revert to their pre-treatment levels.
