Broken capillaries simply removed

Broken Capillaries (telangiectasia) can be treated without surgery.

What are broken capillaries and spider veins?

Broken capillaries are often referred to as spider veins. These tiny, congealed blood vessels can be unsightly, especially when found on the nose, cheeks and chin. They are particularly common in thin, sensitive skins.

Spider Veins also develop in wavy, thin reddish-purplish veins on the legs often clustered on the thigh or below the knee, especially on the upper thigh, below the knee and around the ankles. It is a myth that they are caused by crossing your legs too often.

They are an abnormality that develops when small blood vessels near the surface of the skin dilate. This can be hereditary, or may be the result of allergies or excessive consumption of alcohol or spicy foods.
Broken Capillaries are enlarged blood vessels that have widened due to a weakness in the vein wall or a problem with the valves that control the flow of blood. Broken veins are the small, superficial red or purple veins stretching like a web under the skin. Overexposure to the sun is believed to contribute to the dilation of these veins, especially those found on the face.

Broken capillaries on the face can affect as many as 60% of all women and a large portion of men. In the past, there was little you could do about broken capillaries and veins. However, Medical Grade Laser and Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) technologies have revolutionised treatment so that capillaries and veins could be erased.

How to treat broken capillaries capillairies & spider veins

Many people who have broken capillaries would like to reduce the appearance of the vessels. Medical Grade Laser and Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) treatments can provide an effective broken capillary and vein treatment, as well as being a solution to broken blood vessels. Over time, little red veins on the nose, chin or cheeks become more noticeable.

Medical Grade Laser and Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) technology enables our therapist’s to collapse the vein and broken capillaries without doing any damage to the surrounding outer layers of skin. The wavelength discharged through the pulse of the laser enables the light to reach the targeted veins under the skin, whilst also improving the overall appearance of the skin by evening out skin tone and encouraging the production of collagen.

Medical Grade Laser and Intense Pulse Light offer a solution that minimises or eliminates the appearance of broken capillaries, causes little discomfort and produces long lasting results with no down time.

Broken capillaries can also be treated with a device called LamProbe which offers a rapid treatment with instantaneous results.

The lamprobe works on the principles of radio vaporisation by various probes. High Radio frequency technology utilises a current that is attracted to liquid on the skin surface.

The LamProbe uses these frequencies to treat minor skin abnormalities without penetrating the skin’s surface.

The LamProbe treatment is performed with minimal discomfort, feeling much like a tight pinch to the skin. No anesthesia is required when treating broken capillaries.
