Q1. What do wrinkle injections involve?

A non-surgical treatment.  The product is injected into selected facial muscles by qualified registered nurses using a very fine needle. The treatment takes around 10 minutes. Discomfort is typically minimal, the injection may sting for a few seconds. No anaesthetic is usually required. It takes two to three days for the treatment to begin taking affect and about 7 days to see the full effect. Our registered nurses can explain in detail what to expect.

Q2. How long will the effect last?

The effect can last for up to 4 months before lines slowly begin to return. Repeat treatments mean the look tends to last longer.

Q3. Do injections cause more wrinkles to form?

Wrinkle injections relax the facial muscles which cause expression lines. They do not cause more wrinkles, even after the effects have passed. If you do not have further treatments your muscles will eventually return to normal levels of activity and your wrinkles will gradually revert to their pre-treatment levels.

Q4. Will facial expression be affected?

The injection only works on the targeted muscles so that any areas left untreated won’t be affected. Our registered nurses will determine the best treatment for you in order to achieve the best results.

Q5. I like the idea of a face lift without surgery. What now?
