Zeltiq Cool Sculpting
The latest talk of the cosmetic world !!!
WHAT IS IT ….
It is the latest fat reduction technology that actually works. The results have been amazing. It is already being used in Canada the United Kingdom and Europe. It works by cooling the fat in a controlled procedure and reducing the size of the fat layer. Fat is then naturally expelled through the body’s metabolic processes. The best news is there is no down time and no Lippo Suction required for a great result.
You can sit and relax whilst you are having the procedure, work on your laptop read a magazine or a book. There is no need for any anesthetic or numbing creams. It is quite a comfortable procedure.
There is no need for any special preparation for the procedure. A specifically designed applicator it attached to the area of concern. The patient will feel a slight cooling sensation in the area being treated. You will either be sitting or lying whilst the treatment is in progress. The Zeltiq is non invasive so there is no reason after the treatment you cannot return to you day as per normal. Work, the children, the gym or any other normal activity that you would do.
Anyone who is interested in targeting problem fat areas should look into Zeltiq before considering any type of fat reduction surgery.
You will notice a result within two to four months and can expect to see a reduction in most cases of centimeters.
SplashClinic in conjunction with Dr Joseph Ajaka is very excited to offer the Zeltiq Cool Sculpting to our clients.

Summer is fast approaching and all the current affairs television programs are starting to do stories on “Body Image”, whether it is in relation to Botox, cosmetic surgery or laser hair removal everyone is getting on the band wagon. Should there be an age restriction on procedures? Should you go overseas or stay in Australia? Which lasers are better or should I be treated by an IPL? Is the staff qualified to use the equipment or perform the procedure?
SplashClinic is one of the longest established cosmetic clinic’s in Sydney we have treated thousands of patients and see all sorts of after procedure problems. We are often left to fix issues and problems caused by other cosmetic clinics. Given this we have decided to give some advice!
If you are having a “Botox” treatments ensure you are being treated with Botox. You may think you are getting a great deal on the unit price and perhaps you are but be aware there are many other products on the market. They are not as good!! Your results will not be as predictable and they will not have the longevity of Botox. You may think you are saving money but in the long run it is going to cost you more. Are you being treated by an experienced injector? Who trained them and how may treatments have they done? Are they a reputable clinic? Please do not assume that because you are being treated by a Doctor they know what they are doing. I have seen some amazing results by Doctors I have also seen so disasters by Doctors that think they can just pick up a needle and Jab away!!! Please make sure they are experienced. Remember at the end of the day you get what you pay for. It is your face and you are only going to get one. Take care of it.
If you are looking into a cosmetic surgery procedures do your research. Make sure you have investigated the Doctor and see evidence of previous results. The same sort of questions should be asked; how many procedures have they done? What sort of complications could occur? How did you find the Clinic? Do you know anyone else that has been treated there? These questions could save you a lot of heart ache in the long term.
Laser Hair Removal has become almost as common as Waxing. People still need to be very aware there are risks involved like any other cosmetic procedure. Again do your research! Has the Clinic been operating for a long term? What type of equipment are they using? Did the equipment come out of China or are they actually using a Medical Grade Diode Laser (proven the most effective for long term hair removal). Are the staff Nurses or Doctors? If they are claiming to have medical lasers do they actually have medical staff to operate them?
Please consider very seriously all of the above issues before you decide who you are going to allow to perform any cosmetic treatment on you.

Do you feel like you sweat excessively? It can be quite embarrassing when you are in an important meeting, you can feel yourself heating up, you start sweating and then the sweat marks appear under your arms. Even the strongest anti-per spirant deodorant does not seem to do the job. Now that winter has settled in, do you find when you are all rugged up with layers of jumpers and jackets you start sweating even though it is a freezing cold day.
If you feel this way and you have tried every over the counter solution available at your pharmacist; then there is a simple treatment that can help you avoid these embarrassing moments and start to feel more confident.
Hyperhidrosis is a name commonly used for excessive sweating. At Splash Clinic we use anti-wrinkle injections to treat hyperhidrosis. You know the one, the anti-wrinkle injection that treats forehead lines, crows feet, and frown lines. Firstly, our Cosmetic Nurse Specialist and Doctor will sit down with you to assess your condition, discuss the treatment and the Doctor will then prescribe a series of injections. They will then assess the underarm area and locate the specific areas where the excessive sweating is occurring. This will ensure that the injections are targeting the sweating at the source. Once injected the natural treatment enters the specific glands in the area responsible for excessive sweating. There, it blocks the release of chemicals that signals the perspiration. After your first treatment, the effects of the hyperhidrosis treatment should last around 10 to 12 months. Everyone is different so the effectiveness of the treatment may vary between the individual. When your symptoms return, see your Doctor or Cosmetic Nurse Specialist.
At Splash Clinic we have preformed this treatment many times and our clients can not believe how much of a difference this treatment has made to their daily life. They have found themselves wearing clothes that they could not wear before. They have experienced an increased sense of confidence and freedom.

Every individual’s pain threshold is different, some people do not find it necessary to use any pain relief at all whilst others experience discomfort with treatments particularly sensitive areas such as bikini areas. If you do experience pain during your treatment we suggest you ask your local pharmacy or speak to your therapist at your next appointment about using an anaesthetic cream. The cream is applied to the area of your body that is being treated and will aid in minimising any pain or discomfort that you may experience during laser hair removal and injectable treatments.
What does the anaesthetic cream do?
When applied correctly the anaesthetic cream numbs the skin and will aid in minimising the pain that you experience during your laser hair removal or wrinkle injection treatment.
What areas of the body can men and women use the anaesthetic cream on?
You can use the anaesthetic cream on most body areas including face, legs, chest, back, upper lip and bikini area including brazilian. It is best if you consult your local pharmacy or book in to talk to your laser therapist before your next treatment.
For further information regarding the use of an anaesthetic cream please contact your Laser Therapist or Cosmetic Nurse Specialist. Call 1300 2 LASER or 1300 252 737

Other benefits of brazilian & bikini laser hair removal
As well as the beneficial cosmetic appearance of laser hair removal your brazilian or bikini area the treatment may produce other positive results such as reducing ingrown hairs. Whilst other brazilian and bikini hair removal methods such as waxing, shaving and the use of depilatory creams will temporarily remove unwanted hair. These methods may cause side effects such as folliculitis, infection, ingrown hairs, razor bumps and inflammation of the hair follicles. The inflammation may also lead to darkening of the skin and secondary hyper-pigmentation. The use of a laser for hair removal will in many causes stop or diminish all of these side effects.
